Step 1 : Create a MySQL DB/User Pair
Step 2 : Click 'MySQL' on the Dashboard
Step 3 : Then Click 'MySQL Pairs'
Step 4 : Now against the appropriate pair, click 'Additional Access Hosts'
Step 5 : Then in the form enter the access host from which access is required. To allow global access, simply enter % sign .
Step 6 : Now go back to Dashboard → MySQL , and click 'Manage Port 3306'
Step 7 : Now in the next screen you would see the status of port 3306 as 'closed' . Click 'Open Port' to open port 3306 to the world
With these steps MySQL now can be accessed remotely as configured by you.
Ideally a standalone MySQL VPS should be used with another N99panel VPS instance so that they communicate on the private IP range. To setup a private IP, you would need to contact N99panel support team.
