Migrating a WordPress Website from cPanel to N99panel
To migrate a WordPress or WooCommerce website from cPanel to N99panel, follow these steps
- In your cPanel, go to the File Manager and make an archive/zip file of public_html folder. Download this archive to your local system. Refer to the below cPanel File Manager screenshots w.r.t. making zip file of your public_html
Right click on 'public_html' and then click 'Compress'
Choose 'Zip Archive' and click 'Compress Files'
- Again from within cPanel, go to phpMyAdmin and export the DB. This should be a SQL file, preferably compressed as a zip file.
Refer to the screenshots of PHPMyAdmin in order to make backup of the SQL file
- Now in N99panel, create a user and a Website/VHost under it
- Upload both the archive file and the sql (can be zipped) file into the user directory using a SFTP client like FileZilla
- Now under N99panel dashboard, click on 'VHosts/Websites'
- You will see the list of all the VHosts. Please click 'Details/Manage' link against the appropriate VHost/Website
- Now click on ‘Restore a WordPress Archive (with SQL file) to the VHost’ .
- Now you would be prompted to enter the uploaded archive file name and the SQL file name. Submit the details and rest everything will be automated.
